Pixelate for Mac
Everything pixelate.run does, as an app on your Mac. It finds the private things in your screenshots and photos and covers them, fast, without your images ever leaving your Mac.
Needs macOS 15 or later.
Why the Mac app
- Stays on your MacYour images and the text in them never leave your Mac. Nothing is uploaded.
- FastOpen an image and the private parts are found and covered right away.
- Covers screenshots as you take themTake a screenshot with ⌘⇧4 as usual: a card in the corner covers what is private and copies the result. Or have every screenshot covered and copied automatically.
- Finds names, numbers, faces and codesNames, phone numbers, emails, addresses, ID and card numbers, faces, QR codes and barcodes. It uses Apple Intelligence where your Mac has it, or a privacy model you can download once (about 0.9 GB) that runs on your Mac.
- Free to tryDownload it and use it for free. Saved images carry a small “pixelate.run” mark until you buy a licence.

Questions
- How many Macs can I use it on?

- Are updates free?
- Yes, all 1.x updates are free.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes, within 14 days. Email hi@pixelate.run with your receipt.
- What does the mark look like?

- Does it need the internet?
- Only to activate your licence, once, and to download the optional privacy model. Everything else works offline.
- What will I see on my card statement?
- “XMATRIX* PIXELATE.RUN”. The seller is MadeByRobot LLC.
- I lost my licence key.
- It is in your receipt email from Stripe. If you can’t find it, email hi@pixelate.run.
